The CSM ApproachCSM focuses on providing an alternative to the "cookie-cutter" approach often employed by large corporate consulting organizations. Regardless, of the size and scope of the engagement, CSM works to create a uniquely structured process designed to meet the individualized needs of each customer. An integral part of this approach is the active participation and leadership of CSM's principals in all projects. At least one Senior Partner from CSM is assigned to every consulting engagement affording customers direct onsite access and feedback throughout the project. This flexible and "hands on" approach encourages active participation from representatives within the customer's organization and ultimately results in a consensus-driven outcome. The CSM approach often begins with the completion of a comprehensive functional assessment. The Functional Assessment process is designed to provide executive management with a clear, accurate and detailed picture of an organization's administrative, business and clinical operations. Areas of focus typically include a review of the quality and efficiency of clinical delivery systems, organizational structure, billing and related fiscal activities and infrastructure. Consistent with the CSM approach, the process can be modified to include other related reviews including an overview of the local community marketplace and an assessment of area competitors. The primary goal of the Functional Assessment is to identify clear strategic recommendations for enhancing fiscal and operational efficiencies, maximizing resources and resolving identified problem areas. All recommendations include an outline of specific action steps and time frames for implementation |
